Just finished the audiobook. Gonna re read it when the physical book comes in later. Such an incredible book. So real and meaningful.

girl you told the world on press interviews that you were a virgin and would like to remain that till you get married. So I couldn’t catch the part where she tells how exactly her label made her say that. It was a random press interview during Oops era and the questions was random. 
Thanking Justin and understanding his “ I ****ed b” as “ he was like she’s a woman bro, she have s**” is another level.

Idk man maybe deep down she wanted the public to know they were sleeping together  🤷‍♀️ It kind of messes with your head pretending to be this paradoxical puritanical virgin all the time, especially when you have comedians making fun of you and your boyfriend’s ‘nonexistent ***ual life’ all the time.

I think at some point she tried to rebel against that label, especially overseas (she told an australian interviewer of her fav ***ual position in 2000), but at times, especially in America she’ll revert back to lying about being a virgin. I kinda get her honestly.

What do ppl think of the claims that everyone’s lawyers (those mentioned in the book) have gone through these  contents and hence that’s why some of the stuff was not mentioned in the book?

I saw a comment on reddit saying 33 pages were taken out… how true is that?

Nitpicking but how come sometimes Britney calls him J in some chapters and Justin in the other chapters? It’s so jarring. I think so far the only time she calls him J was the anecdote about Ginuwine.

She mentions that Work B is one of her favorite songs that ignited a passion in her again but she felt unpleased with most of the music she was making at the time. She said Glory was really a surge in creativity again

Loved it when she talks about her music, especially Blackout. We just don’t get that very often and it felt really special. A bit disappointed she never mentioned the stuff she was recording around Original Doll era but my best guess is that she just wasn’t as passionate as fans make it out to be. She said she wanted The Onyx Tour to be over so bad and she was just in love with telling people no. My personal theory is she leaked Mona Lisa to purposefully sabotage the project so she could get a break

 

i was gagged at her revealing she purposely didn’t say anything at the Domination announcement. Was also interested to see how Sam Lutfi was not mentioned or hinted at all. He feels like a key player in 07 and the conservatorship. Definitely feels like that was done for legal purposes  

 

also Jamie Lynn is such a horrid *****

I really wanted to pre-order this but the fan-made cover using old pictures and the fact she didn’t write it herself or narrate the audiobook really turned me off. Who wouldn’t want to record the audio for their own memoir? 

Also, I presume it’s been heavily watered down after Britney received defamation lawsuit threats from people she mentioned in the book. I totally would believe it, but without solid proof it’s too risky for the publisher.

I’ll wait and see what the reviews look like and pick up a copy from Amazon if it’s looking positive.

At this point I fully believe Justin didn’t send any lawyers or threats, especially the way he was mentioned in like, half of the book (lol) and not all of it was positive.

So you really think that Jive, back in 98, before lauching their brand new toy to the world, a Disney princess, wouldn't have taken all the precautions and wouldn't coached her and told her how to act, what to say, what to ABSOLUTELY never say in interviews before throwing her in the crowd? "YOU DON'T SMOKE, YOU NEVER DID, YOU NEVER HAD S *EX! THANKS GOD EVERYTIME YOU CAN!"

Even to these days, celebrities have PR, so back to the 98's in this awful conservative America... I don't get why you guys always want to make her  looks like a liar, if the girl told herself that it's because of her label, just trust her! I don't get it seriously...

 Im really upset. The book doesn’t get delivered till tomorrow for me. Isn’t the point of preordering to get it the day of release?

She said it was too painful to read it, so she only did a part off it... Why people don't want to understand and mostly respect that? Seems like you guys wanted it to be the new best Netflix tv show, but we are talking about a REAL life, with evil people who are still around, waiting in the shadow to destroy her, off course they didn't let her go 100% hard on them! Off course she wans't able to say everything she wants. It's not a tv show, it's not for entertaining people, it's just a part of her truth that she needed to share after being silenced for so long!

when my mom passed, I had to read the eulogy but I couldn't do it properly because it was just too painful to read and relive something painful and personal. I don't understand why people couldn't empathize with Britney on this one. It's hard to replay everything you went through and voice it out without having your voice break up and choke.

I think the NYT mentioned it was supposed to be 320 pages but it was cut short
