Why is there always a double standard with Britney?

Pam Anderson just walked every fashion week carpet in no makeup and no hairstyling and was praised for rebelling against Hollywood norms.

Our queen submits natural toned down photos for a magazine cover and we’re criticizing her appearance? After knowing that she was made to look a certain way for over a decade?

Please. Britney is held to such impossible standards by her own fans and some don't even see even the irony in that. There seems to be this rigid, black and white thinking among some (maybe most?) where because she's not doing things the 'right' way, therefore it is wrong and she's either phoning it in or fans think she shouldn't bother at all. 

I wish we'd recognize she's a human first and stop criticizing her just because she's not doing things the way WE want her to.

“If they’d let me live my life, I know I would’ve followed my heart and come out of this the right way and worked it out.”

This part resonated with me because of how true it is. This whole thing could have been prevented if she was just able reflect on her actions and take a breathe. She would have ultimately found her way. Instead, they took an extremely drastic measure that would change the course of her life forever. It’s a tragedy, but I believe in happy endings and if anyone deserves one, it’s Britney. Really excited to hear her story in her own words.

This so much. She's been saying this for years, in songs, in interviews, etc. Her family viewed her as nothing but a brand and a money making machine, not someone with real flaws and issues.
