Yeah I feel like the break between ITZ and Blackout and the K-fed/paparazzi craziness paved the way for other pop stars to dominate the music scene, while Britney became more famous for her personal life. 

The same thing happened when she was active between 2008 and 2013, she had a string of hits from Womanizer through Scream n Shout. And both Circus and Femme Fatale were massive.

She’s good with mkt hun. Make 20 versions of one album another 20 of the same album but in vinyl and so. She master gossip and use it to sell like her relationships with celebrities or her re-recording albums. It’s just one person who buys like 100 versions of just one album. Her music has no impact in music culture, her mkt well yes.

I think Kanye West spoke some truth when he said that the music industry tried marketing Taylor Swift as Britney Spears when B "fell from grace."  Why else would Taylor introduce herself as from Nashville, TN when she's actually from Pennsylvania?  She still does that.  I think she's trying to re-create B's small town girl makes big blow-up.  Unfortunately, it just doesn't work because she sells 8943084032 versions of one album.

I believe chart masters only count confirmed/verified sales. That’s why Britney and Madonna’s sales are still so low because their album sales never get counted after about a year of being released.

A lot of artists are ambiguous about reporting their sales. Keeps it mysterious, and stops the fans going to war
