Is Taylor purposely releasing her album on the same day as Carly Rae Jepsen?

I think this is a reach. Taylor gives zero fücks and this more than likely just fit better in her calendar.  Though if Taylor drops a song about burning down a beach house or something I will stand corrected lol.

Nah, that's a reach. Taylor is way more successful and I doubt she feels threatened at all. 

I'm pretty excited for Carly's album, though.

I’m sorry to say, but no one cares about Carly Rae…especially Taylor. She makes decent music, sure, but she’s mostly a one hit wonder sadly and will likely stay that way. Carly delaying her album would have ZERO effect on how well it does.

Honestly, do artists even get to choose their release dates ? Doesn’t the label decide this? And even if they do, why would TS be looking at what other artists are releasing that day ? And even if it’s another day the same week, does that make a huge difference in sales ? 
Like aren’t they grown women who can exist in the same space at the same time ?
