Here in Sweden the bridal couple walk down the isle together ... Always found it odd that the father is supposed to give his daughter away like that, ew. But very cool of Britney to walk herself!

I read (not in here) someone saying something like: Too bad! Or It's sad cause family is everything etc... And while I agree with that, Britney clearly doesn't feel that way, not anymore at least. They put her through too much and, it might seem like a reach, but to me this is her saying: "Look at me, I'm stronger, I might not have a family but I have people that care about me even more than my own family so fk you!!!"

Yeah it's a strange and archaic tradition tbh. I'm so proud of our girl for going out on her own, it makes such a powerful statement about her past and her future.

I think it's more powerful to know she walked on her own, she's basically been on her own this whole time until she met Sam. She's fought so hard to get where she is today so I love that she owned it and said I don't need any man to walk me down the aisle, I'm happy to do it on my own.

Thank God she walked herself down the aisle.  She's been the sole breadwinner for how many households at this point?  B doesn't need anyone to give her away when she's the one putting food on the table.  She gave away her own hand and we stan.

Family means absolutely nothing when they treat you like the did with Britney. She doesn;t need them. Glad she appears to have other good people around her, who support and love her. That's the most important thing.

Exactly!!!  They did her soooo damn dirty. Honestly, there is NOTHING in this world that would let me treat a member of my family the way they treated Britney, not even money. And the fact that they put her in danger with all those unnecessary medications, in the hands of a bunch of strangers locked up in a facility... Ugh, I can't stand them.
