We should accept the fact that Britney's career might be over

I'm a huge Britney fan since always and it's basically the only reason I read Exhale. For a long time i've been reading how people are blindly expecting her to make music and trying to figure out "cryptic" messages in her videos regarding it. Let's be real, she can't sing and dance anymore (at least for showbiz/concert quality). We could enjoy her shows cause even though she wasn't singing, her dance and stage personality was flawless. 

 

The reality now is different. She is pregnant and won't be focused in her career for a long time and its what in my opinion should do. Her right to raise her children was taken away by the concervatorship and now it's her chance to be a full time mom. Do you really think she will make a comeback in 2-3 more years? Will she make an impact with the competition there is now? I honestly don't think so.

I love her and she will always be my favorite star out there but we should stop expecting and pretending she will comeback. People over here are so quick on judging Katy Perry's carreer and saying she is over but tbh, she is in a way more stable position to peak again (although I don't think she will nor care). 

 

So maybe it's time to cherish what she has given us in the past and her iconic moments instead of having the illusion she will rock the world again. I hope i'm wrong.

I agree. I think she has tried to tell us over and over she’s done but we aren’t ready to hear it lol. But by her having a baby that seems like a clear sign. She will want to stay home and be a mom and make up for time that was taken from her when she had her sons. 
 

selfishly, I wish she would just do ONE last album and performance. I don’t even expect her to tour, just maybe like a festival like coachella and do a documentary about taking her life back and ending her career the way she wants too vs. Being controlled. That’s my ideal situation but I doubt that will happen now

She loves performing and that is a fact. She hated performing BECAUSE SHE WAS OBLIGATED TO.

The biggest problem I have with her "hiatus" is that her body is getting older physically and her performing abilities will definitely decrease big time when she hits 50.

However, it's entirely her right and her choice to be focused on motherhood, but for me as a fan it's quite frustrating that she'll waste her 40s on that... because 40s is still young and she could do SO much career wise and fix so many things that have been damaged by Team Con, especially now that she's in control of everything.

I know, but to me it still feels like we didn't get a proper goodbye from her. Everything is in a very weird state now regarding her career.

Just because it won't happen in the next 2-5 years, doesn't mean it'll never happen. 

I will be happy for her either way but we can't just talk like her professional life is over just because she is having a baby lol. Even if she takes a long break, she can still comeback on her own terms at anytime.

Well, the conservatorship was weird and we went along with it. That she's gonna need time to rebuild her life ain't no mystery. I just say, let her take her time and let's stop with the "well her career is over." We just have to wait and see.

How will she be 'wasting' her 40s? she'll be spending it raising her child - something she's probably wanted for an extremely long time. It is obvious it is her dream to have another baby, to call taking time out to raise her child a 'waste' is insane.

She's gave us MORE than enough for over two decades, she owes us nothing. Let her live her life, it's insane 'fans' want more music from her after what she's been through and how she has stated multiple times now that her actual goals are to have a baby and get married.

Just saying that Britney is an icon not only for her songs, but for the shows she put on. Comebacks are hard as hell, we've seen how basically nobody makes a full comeback and for someone who doesn's have a voice to sing live nor the physique to dance that good, i feel it might be a bit difficult.

If Britney had taught me anything about her career it's to NEVER count her out. She can do whatever she puts her mind to... If it's acting, singing, being a mother... She is literally a legend and can do whatever she wants. All I want at this point is her do do what she wants, whatever it is

I  believe with 100% of my heart that her performing/recording days will be on pause until the child is old enough (maybe 10-12 years old). She could still make little guest appearances on shows, or introducing awards/performers on awards shows, etc - but she will eventually have a “comeback” in a similar way that Janet has…except this time it will be a fully realized version of herself, more of her own control and confidence. AKA, what everyone wants anyways.

Age ain’t nothing but a number, and Janet is also proof of that. She’s touring again and is killing it.
