Oh definitely!

Pop music has been dead since 2016!

Mainstream music has gone so bad that I havent listened to it since 2017.

If Britney came back or basically any iconic pop girl came back,

I'd be happy and all for it.

 

But as of right now, im happy listening to music from the 80s-00s on my spotify

I gotta say, you're absolutely right! I listen to KPop everyday. They're just awesome. Some of the girls/girlgroups I listen to BoA, IU, BLACKPINK, EVERGLOW, MAMAMOO, S.E.S, Girls Generation, Red Velvet, aespa, TWICE etc... boys/boygroups NCT (all the units), SHINee (R.I.P Jonghyun ), H.O.T, BIGBANG, Super Junior, SuperM, EXO, Kang Daniel, Woojin, Monsta X, ATEEZ etc...

It's so true, at least for American pop.  There's still some bops around the world, but I agree... I miss the 90s/early 2000s when it was pop heaven and even the most one-hit-wonder basic pop stars had amazing hits lol.

I wouldn't say pop is dead at all. Justin is still a huge artist this many years into his career. Doja Cat is not the flash in the pan I thought she would be. The Kid Laroi is still hot with Stay after all this time. Adele is still killing it after being out of the spotlight. Ariana will, too, with her next album for sure.

I am fully satisfied if Britney decides to never release music again.

However, I think it would be interesting for her to not chase the trends and do something actually artsy fartsy. Like the "Bedroom Pop" genre or maybe something rock-electro pop like old school No Doubt or Grimes. 

But at the end of the day, whatever Britney feels confident and enjoys doing will shine through most in her work. I'll always give it a listen no matter what she decides to do.

I will say Dua, Ari (of course), Doja, Rosalia & Kim Petras (just the music not her performances) have been doing it for me in the pop lane. But the new girls as a whole need a good schooling from the likes of the legends Bey, Rih and Brit

There’s been no good pop since 2020, cuz there’s no real Pop Stars anymore, just girlies that make some good bops. Like Rain On Me, Dua, Ava Max and React from PCD has been it for the genera. Save us Britney..

I wholeheartedly believe that she’s the only artist who can really revive the pop scene. Cuz Britney is POP, she redefined it in a way that no one has been able to touch. She’s the STAR. Iconic.. 💅🏻✨✨⭐️
