The way the people in this thread keep mentioning Justin beaver… I wasn’t allowed to listen to pop music growing up really because of having super strict parents. But when I heard Womanizer for the first time in 2008, I knew Britney was the trendsetter. She set the bar. She was the standard. Every release after her albums always tried to copy her. If we’ve gone from Britney setting the bar to the Biebs? We’re doomed.

Let's be clear here. When we say Pop ARTISTS, we're talking about artists who put on a PERFORMANCE!....with choreography, catchy songs (mostly upbeat), iconic moments, good looks, etc. 

Adele, Lana, and Billie Eilish are not Pop artists. They're something you put on in the background to fall asleep to lol. 

The current Pop Artists at the moment are:

#4 Justin Bieber

#5 Ariana

#6 Lil Nas X

#7 Ava Max

#8 Miley Cyrus

#9 Katy Perry

#10 Lady Gaga (solely due to Rain on Me)

#11 Maybe... Kim Petras but hasn't really had much success. Coconuts somewhat was popular on Tiktok but barely. 

Now....are all of the above AMAZMING pop artists who can match Britney's level of performance and standards? No...but that's who we have at the moment.
