The re-released Fearless did what it is supposed to do: kill the old re-release and transfer future streaming income to Taylor. Unlike other artists, she is literally the mastermind behind every song she records! She has the right to control it all. She is also changing the scene with her decisions., allowing artists to have more rights over their work instead of record companies. Look at how much JIVE screwed a bunch of opportunities with Britney!

Also, if Taylor will be getting some more chart recognition, why not? She is a powerhouse, might as well make use of that.

Taylor will still get royalties from her old masters, and will continue getting it sales won't go to her but stupid fans still streaming the old material anyway, who is denying being a powerhouse? She cares for her career and has a good team, Jive didn't  screw up anything for her, Britney era changed her image in the US but she sold much WW her US market is only 42% and she didn't care for all that just like Madonna did but both of them became more acceptable in europe and other countries hence WW increased for them. 

You seriously think what Taylor did will help small scale artists? Pinch your bubble right now, nothing is gonna happen like that I am an artist myself and when you are not as big as taylor swift contracts are mostly the same.
