I always think this kind of things are hard because it truly depends on who you grew up with. I guess numbers are better for Taylor, but I doubt she was putting cultural images out there at such a global level like Britney was. There might be  a Swiftie that says otherwise and this is a Britney forum, so there is an obvious confirmation bias. I think it depends on who you ask to, but I lean towards Britney.

Both albums were very impactful in the music industry. I will say Oops I Did It Again. The title alone is iconic. The Oops video is legendary and will be remembered forever.

I’m really not a fan of Taylor Swift but honestly « 1989S Most Controversial Moment- Leaked conversation between Kanye West and Taylor Swift » is not fair for Taylor. It’s not her art or her decision to leak this so it shouldn’t count. I think there should be a controversial moment directly linked to her record for this thread !
