Do you think songs long less than 3 minutes are the new trend?

I don't mind per-say, i think a great song will always be great. But as long as songs still tell a story, then sure since media consumption is saturated and people tend to now only listen to 2:30secs of a song

Some of Madonna's songs from her first album, Madonna (1983), are like 6 minutes long. What a contrast!

Well it depends on the structure of the song. If it's 5 minutes long because they repeat 10 times the chorus, that's not interesting....
I don't mind long songs when there is an evolution in it (It's all comong back to me from Celine is a good example). 
Shorts songs often sounds unfinished to me.

I hope that 2-minute songs are not the new normal for music, I think the era of streaming is putting that pressure on artists to get more plays than creativity. It's amazing what Lil Nas X did with streaming, but long as creativity is not suffering, that's all I care about.
