I bet you these aren't approved by the artists or else they would promote them on social media. So instead of being dropped, both parties can say the contract has been Fullfilled and no Longer needs to be obligated under legal terms.

Capitol previous owner was EMI, they were notriously known for dropping an artist if an album bombed. 

 

EMI was Known for that. It's what made them hated by the music consumer. Even if it went "Gold", they were dropped. Anyway like a hot pancake
