Geri describes the 90s like the 60s. Saying fashion was fun and ****. Music was great. Models became celebs.

And in 1996. The Spice girls debuted and injected to the UK. Girl power. In 97. They were going to open The brits (they won the best brits opener for their 97 and won again in 2020 for best act to win the brit for brit award for contribution to British music)

Amyway Geri. Wanted to make a statement and say she was proud to be British. By law you can't use a flag as a fashion statement. So she used a tea towel. But was told that it was racist to do this cos of a hate group known as the national front. 

Geri said that wasn't what she had in mind. She wanted to celebrate being British which was a bad thing to do at that time.

So to avoid controversy she added the peace sign in the back. 

And it worked. She was in  front page news. Then  everybody in Britain started wearing shirts and fashions thay had the flag.

However in 99. The look at me video where she kills ginger. Shows the flag going up and ginger laughing.

The original dress holds the record for the highest selling piece of pop memorabilia.

But I wonder where it's going to considering the hard rock in vegas is turning into a Virgin hotel. 

In 2007. The Spice girls reunited for a reunion tour. Roberto Cavalli designed a new updated version made of crystals. At 35 Geri said it was appropriate. I'm not in my 20s. But I'm not ready to let go of my sexuality and accept I'm getting older. 

In 2019. Geri gave it a final chapter and proper closure. By making it into a regal dress like a queen. For her being 47. It was her way of accepting that she's getting older and that it's time to close the *** image. Cos nearing 50. Ur not the same when ur 20.

She wanted to wear her original but the folks at Hard Rock wouldn’t let her borrow it for the tour (Sounds like PR to me). 
 

Also Britney’s BOMT outfit is also there so what will happen to that? I’m so confused about the virgin thing. Thought they just switched ownership, is the whole thing gonna be revamped? So the memorabilia will be gone?

It's basically being demolished. 

 

@JordanMiller I need you to get the tea. I went in 2001. The main entrance on the right side had a huge display of Madonna memorabilia as you walked into the casino. The cafe had her letters to her favorite high school teacher. 

 

Honestly It probably has the most iconic memorabilia of all the hard rock. 

 

I wonder if all of it. Is going to the hotel in Florida along with the stadium they own in Florida. 

 

Richard Branson basically forced them out as billionaires usually do.

I did see the video the other day.

It's like she became Posh Spice. I like her, and I kinda admire that she has grown up, as a person, I mean, it would be kind of sad if she was still the same girl from the 90's, but at the same time I miss that Geri a little bit.
