Eh, this song is alright, but it sounds way too similar to her other works. When "Sweet But Psycho" came out, I was sort of glad that she brought back the carefree, basic dance-pop of the early 2010s, but now, it's gotten sort of stale. I think she needs to change up her style.

As for the video, it's also nothing to rave about. Dancing, beauty shots, blatant product placement... nothing that interesting. Oh, apart from when she pulled a Joanne moment with the guitar and hat. I didn't expect that to happen.

Ava Max might be facing towards that "International Pop Star deemed as a one hit wonder in America" title, and it's such a shame. I do like this song, and Part II was a joy to listen!

If anything, this song has been making its round on TikTok, with empowering women of colour dressed in traditional clothes. And with the rise of TikTok making songs relevant, there is hope:

I don’t understand how it’s been around top 20 of iTunes for a while and it still doesn’t chart
