Eric Foster talked to a fan on one of his official accounts and said that one of the Britney tracks he did for Britney's first album ended up on Jessica´s debut album.

I read on that old unreleasedbritney site the songwriters wrote it for her but then gave it away before she had the chance to consider the song.

Back in the day, labels used to pay a HEAP of money for tracks Britneys team had rejected, hoping they would become hits for other artists 

The title of the song could always be "Baby, Heart Is (Never Soul)" or something like that maybe

The producers thought the song deserved better than being an album track only and wanted it to be the debut single of an upcoming artist and all that stuff so they gave it to Puff's girl band

Honestly not any of you believing this is an actual song from the noughties

Just search on YouTube: Britney / *NSYNC type beat and you'll find a lot of stuff like this made currently maybe that song is one of those too
