I would be fine with it because I would have the emotional intelligence to know that it's empowering for her to do that, especially given her history of being constantly ***ualized since the age of 15. I would be proud of my mother for reclaiming her femininity and ***uality on HER terms and through HER own eyes, as opposed to the eyes of the male gaze. If there were something I disagreed with, I would let her know in a way that does not put her down, while showing compassion, instead of weaponizing her mental health struggles against her. At the end of the day, my mother is more than just my mother; she is a WOMAN first, with complex emotions and feelings, and she deserves my support.
