Masterpiece. Best on Circus and in her top 20 of all time.

The lyrics are defiant and so pertinent to her own experience. And the production matches the lyrics, making it a completely fulfilling experience. Vocals not necessarily brought to the fore, she’s lyrically and sonically putting up a shield against emotion. It’s like Janet Jackson’s Rhythm Nation got a 00s update.

I love Mannequin so much I wished she released Mannequin as a single during October of 2009  with a horror type music video (perfect timing for Halloween that year) with Britney as a mannequin would've been amazing and would’ve fit the whole circus theme of the album

For a while I thought the lyrics were Love is like a Mannequin  and then read the lyrics and was floored.

It's a dark and creepy song, reminds me of basketball players on the court with the sounds (I think of Scary Movie 2)

The secret dance rehearsal was awesome, wish she would have done something with it
