Before the new song drops, HONEST OPINION on "Hold Me Closer"

It's a great and beautiful song that I don't seem to get tired off.

It's a bit overproduced on the vocals and the demo version was better.

Loved it and the locals live for it, so it's a win! It was a Elton's song and she was definitely a feature. Elton wasn't gonna let her outshine him on his own track... that's why her vocals are more in the background versus the demo

Cute song. It's the same vibe as Cold Heart which I was not a big fan of. 

I do believe the song could grow on us all if she performs it live during a tour. (Just like Cold Heart did to many).

When it was announced I genuinely thought it would have been a huge follow up hit to Cold Heart. But we should have known better since Pretty Girls didn't repeat the success of its twin sis, Fancy...

It's nice, imo. But I don't search for it when I want to listen to Britney. I don't really remember it that often.

Hold Me Closer was and is a success in every way, I'd go as far as saying there was never a negative to it; it was the coming together of two music legends on a track that blended what they do perfectly. 

Britney sounds incredible on all versions of the song, and she recieved nothing but praise for it, by fans, critics, the general public, producers and Elton himself.

The staying power of the song is a testament to her pull factor, and the song is essentially a celebration of her.

The song did exactly what it set out to do and more.

10000000% this! The song doesn't matter so much to me as the meaning of that time in Britney's life. But she does sound absolutely beautiful on it.

Honestly if it weren’t for Britney being on the song, I wouldn’t care. It’s an okay song, perfect summer smash though.
