100k is an insane amount of money considering I'm buying a house this year with less than that. Good for him though. The collection looks epic!!

It’s his hobby or interest that brings him joy. Would you say the same of someond who’d spend the same amount on antiques or musical instruments or a collection of jewellery or crystals or something? 

I never cared about physical memorabilia or anything but to each their own.
