Calm down, it was the Official Charts that posted it.

I actually think they may have based this off a previous Instagram post of Britney's. They wouldn't usually post unreliable info but I'm also not holding my breath for new music anytime soon.

I am almost certain that we get more material next year. I think it will be collabs though, and no performances.

It’s not unrealistic at all to believe she will continue to make music…she’s only officially said she will, likely, never perform again.  I mean, she literally just recorded and released a new song so it’s not far-fetched to believe she enjoyed the creative control over her own input so much she may want to do an album of her own.  Plus Elton’s comments on hoping she gets her confidence back to get back out there makes me think he may have discussed this with her.

that being said, it IS hard to believe and I can’t stand reports with speculative rumors.

I’ve accepted that she’s retired. So I don’t believe any music or performing rumors but if it happens I’ll be happy…I just no longer have any expectations she will work as a singer again.

She could always just record music and release it her own way. She doesn’t need the validation of charts and the pressures of having a record deal. She knows she’s a great musician. When she’s ready, she will drop something..even if it’s one song at a time.

I think for the next couple of years 5 to 7 she will only do features with artists she like and maybe on of singles for soundtracks and just to give something for the fans. Maybe a performance if she being honored for something but other than that she taking a hiatus
