None of all the people I know who concieved via IVF could chose the gender or number, but from what I'm reading here I guess it's a thing actually available for rich people? That's kind of messed up if you ask me... but whatever.

I know she wants a girl so I wish for that (although I'm sure she'd be elated just by the fact of being a mom again, whatever it is), but I voted boy because I'm not feeling very optimistic today.

I’m guessing a boy- Britney seems to make boys -but we’ll see. Healthy baby is all that matters.

The gender of a baby is determined by the sperm not the egg so it is down to the Dad. The sperm brings a Y chromosome which makes a boy when combined with the eggs X chromosome or it brings a X which combines with the eggs X chromosome to make a girl. I thought my husband only brought X sperm after birthing two girls, but then we unexpectedly made a boy. Sorry about the science lesson :gloria_falling_stairs_trip:You are right a healthy baby is all that matters!

It's all random, roughly 50/50 I think, with a very slight chance you are statistically more likely to have boy. Unless you go down the s** selection route through IVF which is a bit ethically dubious. It does not matter if the child is healthy. I have two girls and then a boy, but would have been equally delighted with a third daughter (I fully expected to have a third girl could not believe it when a boy appeared!). Deep down I am sure Britney just wants a healthy child regardless of the gender.

 Twins girls! 👭 💕💕🦄🦄

By the way, do you guys think she has tried IVF or she was conceived naturally?  I wonder this because of her age and she seems to manage to have her baby quite quickly:) :quirkney_britney_well_welp_giggle_lol_hehe_haha_laugh_joke:

I think she conceived naturally. You are a bit less likely to get pregnant at 40 than say 35 or 30, but it still happens fairly easily and she already had two previous pregnancies, so she knew she could conceive. Took me five months of trying at age 39 so really normal and about the length of time I would have expected it to take her once off birth control. The problem you have at 40 is more chance of pregnancy complications, but I am sure she will have lots of extra scans to ensure all is well.

It think (and I im rooting) for a girl.

and i bet Britney knows already. I just dont understand why she didnt tell us yet. or did she???? *up the mistery music*

I think she could and does. You can have a text called the NIFT test that will let you know the gender as early as 12 week.

Research "family balancing" - they will fertilize the human egg with sp3rm and then choose the embryo that has the sax they want the baby born with. I don't agree with it but they do it

I agree too. Im worried because my sis-in-law had issues with her IUD and later caused her to miscarry once she had it removed BUT she was able to have a successful pregnancy a few years later.

I'm manifesting a girl for her because she's always talked about wanting a little girl.

But LBH, it's probably going to be a boy. I mean, she had two boys back to back.

The s** is determined by the father... just because she had boys with K Fed doesn't mean she'll automatically only have boys with Sam.

I am so sorry about what your sister-in-law went through and glad she was able to go on and have a successful pregnancy. I nearly lost my son (I had just before I was 40) because my placenta was failing, but they realized just in time and delivered him at 35 weeks weighing just four pounds. He is now a very healthy three year old now full of cheekiness. I just hope and pray Britney has none of these complications, which is one of the first things I thought off (after being really pleased for her) as it gets likelier as you get older. She will be getting the best medical care though and hopefully she is past 12 weeks.

I have a feeling it will be what it will be and shell want another back to back like before maybe work on having twins the last time. She seems to want a family, so that's my thoughts..

This pregnancy came on fast and easily which is amazing, but the next time if she does need help and they use a specialist she may want two more to give sam 3 children as well it makes sense.. But time will tell..

Last night I had a dream that Britney had a baby girl, but the dream was so weird, because Jayden was like 2 or 3 years old and Sean was like 6 or 7, all the ages were wrong lol but the baby girl looked more like Sam, with dark hair and everything. For some reason I was there with them helping Britney hold the baby while she was looking in her agenda the times she had fed the baby during the day and whether it was ok to feed her again

Great! Yeah, she will get good medical care. My sis-in-law had an issue where her body rejected the IUD. We were Christmas shopping and all of a sudden she started having like contraction pains. She got the IUD removed and then the next year she got pregnant but miscarried early. They think maybe there was scar tissue from the IUD ordeal that caused it. A few years later she had a successful pregnancy tho
