Why am I unable to recognize Britney?

There is simply no resemblance between Britney from these past few years and the Britney Spears we all knew.

Its like looking at two entirely different people. Not better or worse, just different. Ive never seen a person literally transform into an entirely different person before... even people who have gone through trauma or had plastic surgery etc.

Its mind-boggling. Im literally finding myself actually questioning if the person pictured on Britney's Instagram is actually Britney Spears.... I cant wrap my head around it.

Can someone explain this?

I get it, Britney is very unique and you can’t put her in a box or stereotype her. I’ve followed her since BOMT and yet she always surprises me

You’re right. She’s different now. But consider this: she has been through such a unique and unimaginably traumatic situation for nearly twenty years (more so in the conservatorship years). It has affected her. It’s a miracle it hasn’t affected her more than it has. She is strong. She is a survivor. She is changed. The Britney that always was is still there, but evolved in response to what she has been through. If you’re hanging onto Britney/ITZ era memories then you should probably stop following her and just enjoy those years on YouTube. She will never be the same but she will come out of this stronger and more independent than ever before. She is healing and the best is ahead of her.

Honestly imo its traumatic stress, aging, smoking, and *****. And no im not accusing her of recreational, even prescribed stuff has effects. And after having kids most womens body (including face) changes. She still looks like herself but when you factor all that in, it makes sense.
