Britney: People have no idea the awful things done to me personally, Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying F U to my family

In a new post on Instagram, Britney opened up about the abuse her family put her through.

"I had an experience three years ago where I stopped believing in God. From every angle I was being hurt for no reason and my family was hurting me ... I went into a state of shock and the way I coped was being fake denial... it was too much to really face." 

"I screamed alone a lot and I kept all that pain to myself."

"I wanted to be nice but what they did to my heart was unforgivable." 

 

"I asked for 13 years to perform new songs and remixes of my old songs... I had two months off in between each show settings for four years in Vegas... it was a set up to make me fail yet I knew exactly what I wanted my fans to see and it didn't make sense how network television shows are showcasing my music with remixes of all my music... yet the person who owns the music is told no. They even gave my remixes to my sister but why was I always told no?" 

"So much wasted time to embarrass me and humiliate me." 

"Not doing my music anymore is my way of saying F U in a sense when it only actually benefits my family by ignoring my real work."

"I'd get more respect doing a spread for Playboy than I would writing a book."

I can’t tell if this is her telling us she’s retiring orrrr if she’s announcing new music?? cuz at the end of the post she says she’s planning to do more things that scare her in 2022.   BUT in any case it is soooo clear that these people messed her up so badly. and she knows it! It’s going to be a lifetime of her processing this all…. so sad. Good for you Brit for expressing yourself!

13 years of not doing what you want with your life when you were deadset on retiring in like 2006 and being forced into that state of depression of being in a ****ty business attached to your abusive parents when all you wanna do is garden and have a family and normal life - that is a long time and I imagine the grieving process would be a lot. In time, she can find healing and peace for herself in this moment.

This is so sad. My heart breaks for her. I want her to take some time away from everything (including Instagram), and then come back once she’s healed and finally do that sit down interview

So many fans want to fantasise about her making a comeback, releasing new music, back on stage and being a pop star again, I get it, but her life is so much deeper than that.. She's already achieved so much a million times over, it's time for her to have personal time for growth and self happiness. She has been through so much, a lot of it I'm sure we can't even imagine, so being a pop star isn't really a priority. If she does decide to ever come back, we will all love it, but I'm just happy she gets to live the life she wants to live and prioritise her own health and happiness.

I feel like her being lazy on stage in piece of me was her coping! The tics she developed with certain moves or not, it wasn’t because she is “lazy”

but more that was the only way for her to make things fun or cope with whatever they were putting her through. :/

I agree, she has to do a lot of healing and enjoy her life the way she wants to!

everytime we would complain about wanting new songs in Vegas and new remixes we thought it was Britney that didn’t want to, but this entire time she’s been sabotaged…. This post tore my heart up. I hope she doesn’t delete it

I hope Britney truly gets the sincere, legit healing that she needs. That has to be a lot! And if there were any doubts before, there definitely is no "new song." The new song was what she sang in the video. That was the extent of it.

I truly don't see her performing or making music again. She's been thinking of/wanting to quit for years. Jayden said she thought about quitting back in his 2019 Instagram Live. There's no coming back for her. The industry was no good to her. Yes, she's a lioness, but she also seems uninterested in music, for real. She's said before — years ago — that she's not built for the industry. So it's really no surprise.

If she ever makes music again, let alone performs, I'll be shocked.

Exactly we have to remember B always fought for what she wanted and many of her ideas came to fruition pre c ship! I can’t wait to see this woman finally do what she wants as an artist and full on woman now!
