MTV is 40 years old and only had 14 years devoted to just music, why are they still doing VMAS, they don't even show videos anymore. 

 

Even YouTube dropped their Music awards videos show, when they realized how irrelevant it was to honor videos, given that only one can win. 

 

Hell spotify awards only air in Mexico given how it's most popular there in that region.

I mean when Taylor swift wins video of the year a second time for her you need to calm down, you already know the show is a thing of its former self..

 

It went down when they allowed fans to start voting in 2006, before that the VMAS outside viewers choice was picked by a panel.
