Don’t have Spotify and for some reason, Apple Music stopped tracking my play count but it’s safe to say that Toxic, Oops and BOMT were probably my most played songs this year.  Other than that, I listen to mostly hip-hop/rap with the exception of some pop.

yeah, I know.. but it get false results.. eg for React it shows me 130 plays only when I have 300+ and the song was added to the library this year, so not sure how they count it

Yeah, that's true. I've noticed that Apple Music is very inconsistent when it comes to play count. That's why Last.fm is the way to go. It offers some really cool insights:

• amount of new songs, albums, artists discovered every week
• top songs, albums, artists of the last week, month, 3 months, 6 months, year
• top songs, albums per artist
• top songs per album
• etc.

It's super in-depth.
