To an extent, but there is no real pop anymore and that can be attributed to Kanye’s entry into the pop atmosphere.  808 & Heartbreak has a lot of pop vocals and showed that rap can work on many levels.  After that, his flavor and influence exploded into the pop genre.  I think he’s definitely already at the level of Madonna, Britney, Michael and Prince (Cher, Celine, Mariah etc.)
