why tf is it creepy? as long as you don't shove it in everybody's face your friends and gf should just relax tbh. even if you do they should be glad you're passionate about something at least. hopefully it's not just a phase like your previous music choices :dorkney:

and i can't believe those spotify playlist actually works lmao

haha well my gf is cool with it I just asked her what she really thinks of me being obsessed with Brit and she said it's a little weird. It's not a point of contention or anything. My coworker/friend that made that comment is just a really blunt dude and he's usually rude about everything so I didn't really take it the wrong way but I should probably not bring up Britney in normal conversations anymore lmao

Also I still love all those artists that I mentioned, although yes I do go through phases. Right now i'm in a trap, house, edm phase with DJ Snake, Kygo, Diplo/Major Lazer, etc. but my most played artist is still Britney :)

the playlist on spotify only has like 28k followers and it's been there for months :crying2:

Are you a new fan as well? How did you become one? At least I know I'm not the only one lol

Eh I'm new on this website, but back in the late 90's early 00's I did not really care much for her, I was just a ***** teen that thought she was pretty hot but that's about it, My girlfriend dragged me into going to the Onyx Hotel Tour concert in 2004 and that's really where I started to love her, Such a great concert, so much dancing and Britney just being all around fire, also I really liked the ITZ album. After that however I kinda forgot her again, of course I heard of her with the breakdown and femme fatale era radio hits, until recently I re-watched all concerts I have ever been to (Prince, Deep purple etc) and the Onyx Hotel Tour of course! I really enjoyed it and I was wondering if there maybe was a fan forum or something similar, wich led me to this website. Around a week before Glory came out!

you're so lucky you got to see Primeney! She was pretty much the princess of america from 99 to around 04. You couldn't avoid her, but I never paid attention because I thought her music was for girls lol she was pretty much gone for me after the breakdown. I didn't even know 'I Wanna Go' and "Til The World Ends' was by her until a couple of months ago

I've only rediscovered Britney around mid August right before the release of Glory. I thought it would be fun/amusing to listen to the "This Is:" playlist they had of her on Spotify while I played LoL. I was never a fan of hers before that. In fact, the only song I genuinely liked from her was Sometimes and it was more for the nostalgia feels (still my favorite btw). I've never been a pop music fan either. In high school I listened to 90s alt like Weezer and Green Day or emo stuff like MCR, PATD, or FOB. In college, I listened to a lot of indie/folk stuff like Fleet Foxes, Bon Iver, Edwarde Sharpe+Magnetic zeros, etc. When I started working my desk monkey job I was listening to recent hip hop stuff like Future, Young Thug, and Travis Scott.

After I heard Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know and Anticipating from the playlist I couldn't get enough of Britney. I listened to BOMT and OIDIA all the way through and loved every second of it maybe not Dear Diary so much. Then I decided to look up her old music videos on YT and I absolutely fell in love with her. You see where this is going. I listened to Britney, ITZ, and Blackout just in time before she released Glory and my life was changed forever. Her albums just got better and better! (I hadn't heard BJ at this time, or Circus and FF for that matter). I even bought a japanese version of Glory just so I could listen to Mood Ring - the first physical copy of music I've bought since 2004.

I am basically obsessed with her (stanning? is that the right word?) and my gf thought it was cute at first but now she thinks it's a little weird. My coworkers thought it was funny but the other day one of my friends said it was getting a little creepy lol. As a straight guy that works in IT it's really hard to find other fans that love her as much as I do, especially without being called gay/love etc. and I am so glad to have found this community and see that there are many out there who share my love for the Queen, the one true God, the Holy Spearit herself, Britney Jean Spears.

Sorry for the word vomit, but any other 'new' fans out there? How did you become a fan? I wanna hear your stories!

You're not alone man. We almost have the same history. 24 yo guy here. :saycheese:

Also straight,

I've been a fan since she first started. I used to have two walls of  my room with posters of her with those "Rolling stone" photo shots:werk:. The song that made me a stan was "Crazy" i love her voice in there. And tbh i'm in love with her ever since. Is weird because i'm into EDM/Trance/House type of music along with a little of everything. But when it comes to pop music, she's my thing.
The same happens to me at work (IT as well), lol. Just a co worker knows about my obssesion, because he saw my playlists on spotify, he throws jokes at me every now and then, but eventually he knows what's up.

So dont worry, you'll get used to jokes, weird faces and shade coments. Believe me, those people, they just want to go with the flow. But hey, like i said before, YOU are definitly not alone in this world.

Wellcome

I'm new in this forum too , so WELLCOME to both of us.
