I may be in the minority here, but I love the song. It's exactly what people want from Gaga now: stripped back, raw vocals, and nothing abstract or theatrical in theme. It's simplicity drives its message, she sounds amazing, and the production really contributes to the longing and emotion in her voice.

Maybe people are just bitter that Britney didn't release something like this?? I do think it's more memorable than Make Me. I'm so in favor of her working with Kevin Parker. That would be amazing.

It's more memorable because you have literally one line to memorize, you're right.

I've liked a lot of Gaga's previous material and was really hoping she'd deliver with this song, but this is just bad. One of the worst releases of 2016, I really have nothing good to say about this song.

Lolllllllllll. That's not what I mean, but sure, it's easier to memorize than Make Me. Most of the best pop songs have minimal lyrics, but a distinctive hook that everyone remembers.

I'm not a fan. Its not bad, but it's hardly worthy of a long awaited single.

 

Fortunately, Sia now does what she used to do, but with authenticity and better vocals.

Used to be such a huge fan of Lady Gaga. 

I even went to see the New Kids on the Block just because she was the opening act. (Yes, she was!) 

But the song is not good, I mean good melody, great production, average lyrics. 

But those wannabe-rock vocals are cringe-worthy, and that chorus.... 

I'm disappointed, to say the least.

The song grew on me tbh, its catchy and danceable. If you ignore the lyrics its decent, i think its meant to be just that, an 80s dance rock song. If the end wasn't so repetitive i would love it. 8/10

This song is horrible and I used to stan during the Fame & Fame Monster era. What is the mess of a song? It has no dynamics, it is very repetitive.
