What if I Can't Get No Satisfaction was released as a single? Would it flop or become a hit?

Critics bashed the song, that's why it wasn't released. But I don't think it's that bad, imo comparing to another cover of I Love RocknRoll it sounds better. I could see it being 4th or 5th single from OIDIA and reaching Top 40. What yall think

It could've been a minor hit if it had radio remix (similar to crazy and boys). The album version is quite long and drags towards the end imo. But it could've been similar releas to ILRNR from britney? Both classic rock songs covered to be more radio friendly pop.

DGKOMD would’ve made a great single, while I get what they were doing with DLMBTLTK they probably should’ve done DGKOMD instead

As much as I love Satisfaction,

it would've flopped because she was already getting backlash from critics and the GP for covering the song

and honestly I don't see it as single worthy.

I think WUSIWUG, DGKOMD and Can't Make You Love Me are more single worthy tbh.

Those critics that were bashing it back then were most likely old classic rock fans. Of course they didnt like it. 

I would eat it up. With the right video it would have been a hit.

It was all very quick. Stronger peaked in January 2001 and in September they released I Slave, there was no time. DGKMD would have been a great single. It reminds me of he wasn't man enough by Toni braxton.

It would've been mid. Like, it wouldn't have become a smash hit, but it wouldn't have been as bad despite the critics. See I Love Rock 'N' Roll didn't do that bad, as in, it wasn't like a death sentence to her career or anything.

Oops had much better bops than Satisfaction though.

It's one of the weakest tracks on the album. I think they did perfectly with the iconic singles run. Pretty much every track on the album would have been a bad single choice by mid 2001.

I think the song would have performed consistently in the middle of the charts. It might not have been a major hit, but it would definitely have been a standout track on the album
