The thought just popped in my head this morning. With Hesam, her boys, and her family gone I wonder who she is spending Thanksgiving/Indigenous Harvest Feast with? It’s probably Cade or she is sitting this one out because puritans suck.

No one really thinks of the implications that occured for Thanksgiving to arise (which ultimately is tragic and so very sad . . .), but most people nowadays aren't those people in the past...  They're just enjoying some food with family like can we stop, we have nothing to do with what happened centuries ago  we can sympathize but changing the name? like why 
It's like the ****ers who made a stink about Aunt Jemima being on the damn syrup bottle 
And now, that lady's achievements during that hard time for her race and her name are gone forever, so they just removed her face and brand name off the bottle (which is disgusting itself, black woman erased) and for newer generations to ask WHO is "aunt Jemima" - it's all so dramatic

Do you mean Nancy Green? The woman who the CHARACTER was modeled after? Her image was copyrighted and never compensated further.

What makes me more mad is that now, they're able to remove that "character" and not even give a damn about Nancy Green and her accomplishments...  At least she was on the bottle, now she's not so it feels gross...  They aren't honoring her "character" at all now

They were never “honoring” her and she was mislead that she would’ve been compensated. That’s what’s gross. That and all the angry adults crying over fake syrup. 
 

her family sued the company (Quaker oats/Pepsi co.) and that’s the real reason for the switch up.
