Britney Spears is a certified Living Legend. The debate is over.

After her first memoir's sale numbers came out, and the only people to actually top or equal her sales were literal Presidents (Obama, Clinton) a first lady (Obama) and the Prince of the United Kingdom. After comparing her book sales to other contemporaries and music icons like Mariah,  JT, Dolly Parton, Bob Dylan, Will Smith, Elton John, etc.

- It is undeniable at this point that Britney Spears is a legend that will go down in history like Marilyn Monroe, Elvis Presley, and Michael Jackson.  Her star power is enduring and the general public is ravenous for her story. 
 

All the debates with other stanbases about streams from people jogging to your music are irrelevant when your life story is competing for sales records with US Presidents and British royalty, and other musicians can barely muster 1/30th of your sales power even after Oprah Interviews and hitting the PR circuit.

She is such a queen. Other music legends haven’t even come close to selling that amount of books. Say what you want about her, but she still has it! Her story is truly inspirational, and she is a survivor. People can relate to that. She is the real deal.

I would like to know the actual sales of Britney’s book. They released numbers from physical copies and then the numbers from US. Never the full figures. I wonder why.

No cause I think more ppl should say it. People discredit her but she’s probably the biggest star since Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley. I don’t think madonnas book would do it and I’m someone who knows she’s impactful and the queen of pop.

I doubt Madonna’s book going to be as impactful as Britney. Michael Jackson’s book might’ve worked, but Britney’s story will resonate to more people.

Yes. But I don't think it's the number of sales that makes Britney a legend or a respectable woman in this music business and music history. It's her music, her icona, her influence on pop culture, her dance and her story. Also: how her story and art contribute to discussions around how woman are treated in today's and future society.

Yes, the sales of her music, tours, everything... it's part of. But being a legend goes beyond that, I believe.

Britney has always had a more endearing and charming personality unlike Madonna who has always been arrogant and not humble at all.

I hope she changes her mind and enjoy the process of making a new era, a good one like she did for Britney and In The Zone, she and her fans deserve to celebrate her music again, there's so many ways she could do it without be in touch with nasty people from the past. She can take her time. I would love a really high tech vibe, with everything new and never seen before.

while I would love that idea of her being a legend, she’s not yet there (at least in the general category in music) but she’s definitely a legend in POP music. She’s the Princess of Pop. 

It applies to the other pop girls such as Beyonce, Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor and Katy Perry.
