What is Britney's most underrated album?

Hey you guys,

I was curious to know which album of Britney do you find very underrated.

In my opinion, I'd say Baby One More Time because:

1. It is often seen as childish, therefore not taken as seriously
2. It is bubblegum pop at its best
3. It has some of her best vocals from her discography
4. I live for the girly pink aesthetic/vibe from this era

 

I think people unfairly dismiss this album because its squeaky clean and innocent

compared to her future albums but it has really great songs besides the singles like 

I'll Never Stop Loving You, I Will Still Love You, I Will Be There, etc.

 

I think alot of the singles from this album except Baby and Crazy are probably some of her most underrated singles in her entire career.

Its a damn shame that Britney hates Sometimes cause although yes its kinda cheesy but its cute and it reflects a long gone era of youth and innocence.

That's why I love this album and stan this era so much!

It blows my mind that this album literally turned a regular 17 year old into an international global superstar overnight and is literally the most ICONIC and LEGENDARY debut ever!

But yeah that's the Britney album that I think is VERY underrated!
Now tell me which album of hers do you think is very underrated.

Circus. Ok, yes, she probably had little input considering she was being forced into a comeback and it was recorded in a few months. It’s also kinda messy and there is some filler tracks. 

But it has some absolutely massive (in the musical sense, not in the popularity sense) singles (Womanizer, Circus, IUSA). Unusual You is one of her best songs of all time, truly a gem. Blur is one of her best midtempos and one of my favorite vocal performances of hers. You have some really interesting more experimental tracks (Mannequin, Lace & Leather, Mmm Papi). Out From Under is a bit cheesy sounding but also really pretty. And then there’s a wide range of great bonus tracks (Phonography, Trouble, Amnesia, Quicksand). 

It’s not a perfect album by any means, but it seems to get overlooked by the fanbase.

Ehh, probably Circus. 
 

Tough since it came right after Blackout which for many is considered her best. It’s also before Femme Fatale which had many big hits too. 
 

but Circus gave us her first number one since Baby and the title track single which has become kind of a signature for her. Not my favorite and a little generic, but it’s def not talked about enough.

i'd say In The Zone, just because 99% of fans on here say Blackout is her best album and dont get me wrong blackout is amazing but  In The Zone beats it  by a mile off

The thing about BOMT is in 1999 it was an amazing album and was released at the perfect time, but in 2023 it sounds really dated , and dont get me wrong i like some songs off of BOMT still but it sounds very of its time. Oops was a bit cooler

BLACKOUT, it’s like everyone hates that album!..     

 

But for real, BRITNEY. It’s a gem, amazing songs, and it started a new era of Britney in terms of public appeal and artistry. Love it!

I would like to say Circus but I think Oops is even more underrated , why does nobody talk about it , the songs are so good and Britney's voice is awesome on the non singles

Alot of the non singles including Where Are You Now deserve to be known WORLDWIDE

I never understood why it only released as a b side like "heart" , she should have made a "deluxe" version of the album with all the bonus tracks and b-sides as well as "My Only Wish (This Year)"

BOMT. The impact it has actually had musically and sales wise is not celebrated enough. It is a massive influence. It’s celebrated but not nearly as much as it should be. 
 

Also, Britney. The album was such a transition for her and it’s not given nearly as much credit as it deserves.

I feel like Britney deserves more credit! It’s an amazing album representing her transitioning to adulthood, with an amazing production for the time that feels “expensive” compared to her previous work. So good
