The media and GP are turning against Britney again

Recommended Posts

I don't think she will ever be perceived as "perfect" again nor is that what she seems to want at all, and it's fine. She, clearly, is going against that. Understandably so. If she wanted to remake her popstar image and yada yada, be perfect and things like that, she would have hired an agent, new PR team, would have gotten in the studio, appeared on magazines, interviews, press tours. If she had wanted that, she wouldn't have gotten pregnant, gone on vacations every month, planned getting married and posted unglamorous photos with noticeable warps. She is deconstructing, if not tearing apart, the perfect pop star image that was forced upon her her whole existence. The image that enslaved her to, not only handlers, but the ghost of acceptance of total strangers, aka, fans. She has been possessed by handlers, by the GP, sold to anyone willing to pay as a doll onto which wishes and fantasies can be projected. A piece of merchandise that needs to be subjected to expectations with no autonomy, cause in the eyes of many, she belongs to anyone, but herself.  She is rebelling against it. She has since 2004, by marrying Kevin. The only thing is that her handlers did not allow her, but she wanted out almost 20 years ago. Sure, she probably debates between wanting that recognition and just hoping everyone would go and eff themselves. She grew up and was programmed to hone her everything to keep people's gaze and acceptance of her at any cost, but this is the very thing that was so painfully devastating to her. It must be a conflict, specially now. It used to look way simpler for her to just let go of all her public image back in 2004. She was more secure on herself, less bullied and seemed to not be so torn apart between wanting to look "awesome" and not caring.  Now, so much trauma is unavoidably linked to it all, the years of being called fat and ugly, that she might need time to reevaluate where she sources her validation from. Anyhow, I don't think a priority of her is to be "beloved, perfect popstar Britney Spears" anymore. It's obvious and that is great. Wouldn't you try to break the very chain that put you in a hell hole for years? Also, I find it liberating that she is willing.to relinquish it. It's healthy. One look at Madonna and you clearly see what wanting that perpetual recognition so badly does to people. It consumes them from within and then rots them. Nobody can be loved and celebrated by everyone forever. Nobody can and nobody should be.
