The song did not have the annoying male background voice. It ruins the song. If it was Britney's background vocals, it would have blended so much better. When he repeats everything Britnet says in the voice and vocal effect, it kills the song but it's still a bop.

Also, if it was the first single and had an amazing video.

This song is so different and really could have been a huge hit.

They should’ve replaced the male voice with Bruno mars and have him record a verse would’ve been a hit!

I thought dwyco was such a bop when it was first released as a buzz single, I actually thought it was way better single choice than make me. Also lived for the pom performance !

 Any song from glory would have flopped anyways no matter how much they would have been changed. There just wasn't enough hype for Glory after all the missteps by Team C (BJ, Pretty Girls, scrapped music video, butchered photoshoots by Randee St Nicholas etc)

There was SO much hype for the original Make Me video and the whole era in general. But then, the video took too long to come out, and once it finally did come out, and it wasn’t the videos that we saw leaked snippets of… oh boy. I’ve never seen hype for an era deflate so quickly.

Britney opening the VMAs (her performance should have been a bigger deal, since it was her long awaited return to the VMA stage, but that’s another topic to be discussed) with DYWCO, Me Myself & I, followed by Make Me. 

Make Me is a really good song, and it could’ve been a solo single.
