Im a fan of both but honestly

I think Christina resented Britney in the early days of her career

cause Britney was having WAY more success even though she didnt have big vocals like her.

It probably killed her somewhat of that fact.

 

Plus also I think the reason why Christina wasnt as  s.l.u.t shamed as Britney is cause

she already had a sxy image and persona

(Genie and Come On Over for example)

While Britney had a VERY squeaky clean good southern girl image

I could see that if Britney was faking them herself, but she was within her own range. And there's also the unfortunate fact that Jessica sold even less than her, and she had a bigger voice and better control of it.

Fact of the matter is the day of soaring vocals, of the Whitney and Mariah landscape was over. Which is funny because theirs were the go to songs when trying to get a record deal.
