Probably AP, but Variety confirmed it. So I really, really believe it. Page Six's initial report seemed believable to me too. A bidding war? The Obamas had the same for their book too, no?

I am so ready for this. A doc would be nice, but I'm way more here for a book. She's said over the years that she'd write one and even teased it on Instagram with the typewriter pic. A book just makes way more sense than a doc. She gets to say what she wants to in her own words (with a ghost writer/co-author, of course, but no one else telling her story for her, as would be the case with a doc, which would likely interview other people).

I am so happy for her and can't wait to hear what she has to say not just about her family, but her career.

This makes me wonder if, potentially, the memoir will be like Jim Carrey's and be more of an allegory. I hope not. I want a full-on memoir. I still have to finish Mariah's.

This is a fantastic title.  It's instantly recognizable, reminding people of the little girl we all fell in love with, yet it hints at the darker story waiting to be told if people pick up the book.  

That and a stripped back, natural pose grown-up brunette-haired Britney on the cover.  Instant classic.

If this is true, which it’s looking likely, I’m pleased she’s chosen the medium of a book. That way she can clearly include and articulate everything in her own words. Plus she can still do an interview/documentary afterwards, to promote

I'll definately read it. i agree with what @levxy said i'd rather have an interview but  tbh i think Britney will be more comfortable doing a book and will spill more. i think we'd learn a lot more in a book.

My only concern is how edited it might be by lawyers when talking about the legal side of the cship. Thats my only worry
