There are literally so many songs out there we don’t even know about that people have had for 7+ years just because they haven’t leaked doesn’t mean they don’t exist

Right… but the degree to which this is glorified and sought after makes me feel like someone would have found a way to get to it. I’m not saying it 100% doesn’t exist. In fact before my only thought was that it existed. But now I’m skeptical.

There are many songs from different artists that only clips have leaked from for over a decade it’s really not that deep it just hasn’t been obtained yet by fans

The one thing that i remember about Rebellion is that we ALL got really excited by destroying that pinky replay button on her official website where the snippet was uploaded, basically. :selenerz_selena_crying_tears_sad:

And i also remember that paparazzi at that time filmed her while she was inside her car at a spotlight playing few Blackout demos to them (including "State Of Grace"), and you can hear at one point the beginning of Rebellion, but...the light goes green and she runs faster than the remix (get it?). :selenerz_selena_crying_tears_sad:

I genuinely don't know if that track will ever see the light, at this point. :receipts2_britney_um_browsing_browse:

When was this recording again? I know there are pics of the recording sessions but I can’t find right now.

It came out on the website late June 2006 and said flashed “2007.” Why wait 6 months for the release? I don’t know what a typical timeline looks like but this seems long.

^^ trying to get the timeline straight for the writing/recording rebellion, blackout, original dolls

There is no definitive period of when the demo was recorded unfortunately but she recut it in Miami with Scott around the time the snippet appeared on her site, you can check candids she was in Miami at the same time with Kevin and an unknown woman and that’s where his studio was at Criteria Studios

lol it’s not much but unfortunately all that was made public along with emails I have sent but the snippet appeared around a week after she recorded it so maybe the song was never “final” after all but definitely she recorded it twice

alas...timeline for Rebellion.

I endeavored to summarize the main news articles from this time period, but had underestimated the toxicity of the 2004-2007 timeline.  This exercise was more emotionally taxing than i anticipated.

My goal was simply to isolate the new information from each article printed during this time period (2004-2007 to get a clear timeline for the business decisions around the song Rebellion)...dumbly, i had forgotten the elitist narratives that were battling for ownership of britney during this time frame.

Going through the news stories made me remember why i had wanted her to fight back. but knowing what happens in the future makes this a disillusioning exercise.

In the next post i'm going to paste the timeline for Rebellion...but its not going to even be formatted correctly.

This exercise accidently became a Larry Rudolph media expose. I will post a thread on Larry's in the next 1 or 2 weeks...once I have time to properly edit...after this i'm going to take a break from posting for a while.

Given my work experience, I know i can help offer insight into Britney's situation, which will help prevent the conspiracy theory narratives from taking hold. But...i'm doing this exercise alone, and for me, even reading about B's situation is emotionally taxing...so I have to take a break.

Britney Spears has apparently decided that her relationship with manager Larry Rudolph is sooo "Toxic."

A Lowdown spy reports that on Monday (Britney) abruptly parted ways with Rudolph…

Reached for comment yesterday morning, Rudolph told Lowdown, "I'm still her manager. Whatever you've heard is completely false. We're at work on her greatest hits album, to be released on Nov. 16."

But a few hours later - after Lowdown placed multiple calls to Spears' associates - he was singing a different tune.

"Britney and I simply realized that we have done all we can do together and have amicably parted ways after eight years," Rudolph said through his rep.

"Larry forced Britney to get the annulment from [first husband] Jason Alexander. And he forced her to sign a prenup with Kevin Federline."

The spy added: "Bryan Spears, Britney's older brother, was always trying to push Larry out of the picture. Bryan has the managing bug."

5 January 2005; New York Daily News

It looks like newlywed Britney Spears Federline - who abruptly parted ways with longtime manager Larry Rudolph three months ago - has finally found a replacement.

Lowdown hears it's none other than Rudolph's one-time right-hand man, Dan Dymtrow.

The 29-year-old Dymtrow, who's said to be close to Britney's older brother, Bryan, had apprenticed under Rudolph at his management company, ReignDeer Entertainment, until last October.

That was when the songbird flew the coop - and Dymtrow apparently followed.

Yesterday, Rudolph told Lowdown, "I have nothing to say, because I know nothing about it. I have no comment, none whatsoever." Spear's rep did not return calls for comment, and Dymtrow did not respond to detailed E-mails.

A Lowdown spy reports: "Dan was the one who helped Larry with the day-to-day stuff, and he just left him behind his back, moved out to L.A., and is now Brit's manager."

The spy added: "Obviously, there was no loyalty. Dan started with Larry as an intern. Larry groomed him, and Dan ruined him."

Pop singer BRITNEY SPEARS has laughed off reports she is quitting the music business to be a wife - insisting her "time out" was simply a "break from being told what to do".

The TOXIC babe said she was taking a rest following her whirlwind marriage to KEVIN FEDERLINE and split from longtime manager LARRY RUDOLPH last year (04).

… Spears has clarified her career plans in a New Years letter on her official website. Spears says, "I think I should rephrase myself from my previous letters when I was talking about taking a 'break'. What I meant was I am taking a break from being told what to do.

"True Masters (spiritually superior people) say it's cool when you look at someone and don't know whether they are at work or play since it's all the same to them. The things I've been doing for work lately have been so much fun, because it's not like work to me anymore. I've been even more 'hands on' in my management and the business side of things and I feel more in control than ever."

The Beat: Spears Gives KIIS 'Mona Lisa' Smile

15 January 2005; Billboard; The Beat: Spears Gives KIIS 'Mona Lisa' Smile

Britney Spears surprised fans when she showed up at KIIS Los Angeles Dec. 30 to play a new song, "Mona Lisa." She also told the top 40 station's listeners that she will have a new album out this summer.

This marks quite a switch from the November 2004 letter on her Web site in which she extolled the virtues of domesticity and her desire to take time off to spend with new hubby Kevin Federline.

According to a Jive representative, "No album is scheduled at the moment," but she added that "Britney is in the studio working on some material." There are no plans to service "Mona Lisa" to radio.

Spears has been without a manager since parting ways with Larry Rudolph this past fall. Despite published reports, she has not hired Dan Dymtrow as her new manager, according to the representative. He has been part of her "team," says the spokeswoman, and continues in the same capacity for Spears that he had before Rudolph's departure.

But Monday night, just two hours after her divorce filing was announced and shortly after she text-messaged her goodbye to Federline after he stood her up, Spears was hand in hand with her mentor on the ice at Rockefeller Center.

It's strictly a career love, says the source. "It's more like a father-daughter thing," the source says. "They are only a few points away from locking the deal and Larry will be her manager once again."

Members of a birthday party got the surprise of a lifetime when Britney Spears sang "Happy Birthday" at the Spanish Trail Country Club.

Spears remained out of sight, but the celebrants and staffers knew who it was after word spread like wildfire that she was in for dinner Wednesday.

Maloof, who has made no secret of his interest in having Spears perform at the Palms' new 2,400-seat venue, was seen (with Britney) at the Forum Shops at Caesars.

Spears, who was reportedly working on her music in the Palms recording studios, spent Friday in one of the Palms'…villas with her two children and nanny.

20 November 2006; Newsday

People magazine reported yesterday. Spears, traveling with her former manager, Larry Rudolph, made a high-profile stop in New York and visited her hometown of Kentwood, La., before arriving in Nevada last week, People reported.

Spears reportedly joined producer Lukasz Gottwald in the Palms' recording studio to mix tracks for her new album.

28 November 2006; New York Post

Spears, who earlier in the month was hard at work in New York studios, has "been missing recent recording sessions because she has been out all night partying," said our spy. "The label [Jive] is very worried. (Britney) is now managed by Larry Rudolph, but our insider said she first went to Christina Aguilera's starmaker, Irving Azoff, and he negged her because "Britney wanted to cheap him. She only wanted to give him 5 percent instead of 10. So she went with Larry."

First up is Larry Rudolph, dumped as Spears's manager in 2004 but now advising her on her prospective comeback.

The pop princess…fell asleep in a Las Vegas nightclub early this morning shortly after leading the New Year’s Eve countdown, her manager said.

"By about one o’clock, she was just done, so we took her out," Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, said. "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

Rudolph denied reports circulating that Spears, 25, collapsed shortly after midnight and was carried out by bodyguards.

The star was hired to host the festivities at Caesar’s Palace’s Pure nightclub.

Rudolph said Spears walked out of the club and did not seek medical attention.

"There is nothing out of the ordinary here," he said.

2 January 2007; The Las Vegas Review-Journal

New Year's Eve turned out to be a short night for the pop star, who was paid, according to some reports, $300,000 to host the evening at Pure Nightclub (Caesars Palace).

Spears was seen being assisted from the club about 1 a.m., not long after she rang in the New Year with countdowns and champagne toasts.

Her manager, Larry Rudolph, took issue with reports that she collapsed on the VIP stage. "By about one o'clock, she was just done, so we took her out," Rudolph, told The Associated Press Monday. "She was not drunk. She was just tired and falling asleep."

From my vantage point of 3 feet away, I saw Spears drinking a rum and pineapple cocktail, followed by several glasses of champagne about12:15 a.m. Monday, minutes after she gave the countdown on Pure's terrace.

Jive is not in sync with the five tracks Brit delivered. Conversation in their offices is: If we bear the expense of a redo, is it possible that, down the road, because of the way she's going, we could end up with a really bad product? Or one that won't sell?

3 January 2007 22:42; World Entertainment News Network

BRITNEY SPEARS' manager has slammed reports that work on the pop star's comeback album has been halted because record company executives are unhappy with her songs so far.

The TOXIC star recently spent time in a New York City recording studio laying down five new tracks, but executives were reportedly less than impressed with her efforts.

According to New York Post columnist CINDY ADAMS, the project has come to an abrupt stop midway through the recording process because bosses are trying to decide whether to redo the tracks or to drop the project entirely.

Adams claims executives are also worried about the singer's hard partying ways and recent negative publicity saying, "Jive fears she's alienating her fan base. "Jive is not in sync with the five tracks Brit delivered."

Spears' manager LARRY RUDOLPH slams the claims, telling Adams, "I don't know where your information came from, but I can only tell you we're in the middle of recording an album."

BRITNEY SPEARS is getting back to business in the recording studio….

The TOXIC star was working on songs for her new album at Record Plant recording studios in Hollywood on Wednesday (17JAN07).

20 January 2007; New York Post

BRITNEY Spears…is trying to put out her comeback album in November, but music industry sources say Jive Records is going to have trouble selling it to the public if the pop tart continues partying.

Spears, who was supposed to record tracks throughout November, December and this month, stopped going to studio sessions because it interfered with her late-night antics.

"Right now, she is trying to lay down some tracks, but no one is keen to move very quickly because there is the issue of how to market the album," an insider said. "Jive hasn't even picked producers for the album."

A rep for Spears e-mailed, "We are anticipating an album release second half of 2007. Jive is not worried about marketing the album, in fact we are looking forward to the release. We don't comment on our artists' personal lives."

1 February 2007; The Las Vegas Review-Journal

Her manager, Larry Rudolph, has said her next single could be out this summer, with her album out by fall.

Spears has been working with a host of producers, such as Pharrell, Scott Storch, Timbaland, Max Martin, Kara DioGuardi, Jonathan Rotem, rapper T-Pain, Sean Garrett, Swizz Beatz, Patrick J. Que Smith and Nate Hill. Her Web site confirmed that one of her songs is titled "Who Can She Trust."

I am told that the record label, Jive Records, saw a rough cut of that video and said, no way. We are not putting that on MTV. That does not sell this song and they are currently re-doing that video right now.
