Britney's lawyer Mathew Rosengart says battery allegation against Britney is "overblown, sensational tabloid fodder"

Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, issued a statement to Page Six, saying: “This is overblown, sensational tabloid fodder — nothing more than a ‘he said, she said’ regarding a cell phone, with no striking and obviously no injury whatsoever. Anyone can make an accusation, but this should have been closed immediately.”

 

A source tells Page Six “It was mutual and really verbal and truly about the phone."

Of course a rep for Britney didn't return a request for comment, they're hired by the conservatorship.  

When a story like this breaks, any self respecting rep would be answering questions put to them straight away. In actual fact, a statement would have been released if this related to any other high profile celebrity.
