Never cared about her, used her to make massive amounts of money and to exert a sense of control over her so that he could feel powerful.

in my experience most religious fanatics do the exact opposite of what you'd expect from a religious person; i once lived in a third world country and if someone said they were a christian or something like that people would say to me "be careful with those, they are usually the worst"

a lot of time people hide behind religion to do evil. women were stoned to death and declared witches if they used their heads too much and it was done in the name of religion and as a way to keep the "purity" of the world.

i think britney might have been guilt tripped a lot with catholic guilt - like she HAS to support her family even if they are toxic to her. and that she has to be a perfect daughter and follow exactly their beliefs of otherwise she's WRONG.

i personally believe he does not see the wrong doings of his actions; he must tell himself every night how he is such a good person and that no one understands him.
