Do you feel safe going out right now?

I feel safe within the guidelines.

  • Running to the store with masks required and doing best to keep distance? Yes.
  • Outdoor hangouts with distance and/or masks? Yes.
  • Indoor spaces for prolonged periods of time (movie theatre, indoor restaurants)? No.
  • Meeting in a group larger than 5? No.
  • Meeting closely with someone who has been around a lot of other people? No.

I work in a hospital and have friends who work in a hospital and are exposed nearly every day. But they've already had it or they aren't sick so I've hung out with them sometimes. For the most part, its just me and my gf. Other than that, we don't see many people. I've gone to the movies a couple times and they are doing a great job at distancing people.

I’m still being cautious, but considering I work with the public and have people in my office throughout the day AND I haven’t gotten super sick it makes me more comfortable with going out. I don’t abuse it, of course, but also don’t live in debilitating fear. I’m actually on vacation right now and everyone wears their masks outside and honestly it feels like life is back to normal except with masks. I stayed at home for MONTHS without leaving except to go to work and would get all my groceries delivered to me. I don’t go out to go out though, but my boyfriend and I haven’t had an opportunity to do something like this since February so it’s a well-deserved mental break from all obligations. I say as long as you’re being safe and cautious then there’s no reason not to.

I've been out sometimes. I wear my mask more than most of my friends do. I'm probably on the more cautious side, but I've been going out to get food and sit down with my gf, and going to some movies. I don't really go out to just shop or go to a mall or anything. I still don't quite see the need to do that, but I'm tired of being stuck at home.

:nonono: here in Mexico things just keep getting worse.

And living at the border with San Diego, the cases just don't stop increasing. My parents have started going out to the market and stuff, because they don't like how we buy things, or that we wake up so late my siblings and I lol but they shouldn't be going, because they're over 60, but they take their safety measures. My sister also goes out every other day to see her boyfriend.

Personally, all these months I've only gone out, not even 5 times in total, and I'm not interested in going out anytime soon. People don't keep their distance, I'm lucky if they're wearing a mask at all, and I keep hearing of cases of people getting infected despite supposedly taking the recommended precautions, so no, I don't feel safe going out.

Things would have to drastically change for these measures to be properly applied, but here in Mexico we're just not prepared for that, in terms of infrastructure nor culturally speaking either. So until there's a vaccine, I don't think I'll feel safe.

Also, it's been very hot and humid these past few weeks, it's super uncomfortable wearing a mask with this weather :sobbing:

Watching drs on a new Millennial NBC channel. Basically they say you can be intimate, but you have to live with the person and be committed to, and if you're into casual hook ups, they advice medically it's not safe at all for that lifestyle right now.

All my timeline posts basically my friends shared said the same thing, have a live in f buddy til it's over and out.

My timeline friends on fb are acting like there isn't a pandemic at all :tifflmao:

I only leave the house if it's necessary. I've been working from home most of the time, but I might have to start working on site soon, I'm not sure yet. I've felt a bit unsafe using public transportation, but I've had to use it  a few times.

Some times I feel more afraid than usual, since I have a medical condition, but in general I try to be calm and careful.

Do what you need to do to feel safe! Take all the precautions, mask up, use hand sanitizer frequently! I hope you can avoid this mess! :hugs:

right now it's pretty safe tbh, but it depends on your country tho, here the situation is controlled but i'm enjoying now to go outside cause the second wave is probably gonna come around november

Im really hoping the second wave isn't as bad as some people are saying it could be. :sobbing: I've already lost people close to me. It's heartbreaking.

well, I'm really not that affected at all :blol:

the only thing that bothers me is that I can't go to San Diego to pick the stuff at my P.O. Box (including my Britney Jean vinyl :fakecry: ). Currently they've restricted "non-essential" trips from Mexico to USA (thought there's still thousands of people crossing the border every day). They were supposed to open in April, but with the cases not going down, and Trump using any excuse to stop people letting in, it gets extended month after month. Supposedly now they're gonna open again on September 21, but I'm sure a week before they'll announce, "no, it's gonna be October " and so on until 2021

I'm so sorry, beautiful country, but the fact that straight people can get away with what they do and the cops allow it.

I'm sorry

I was living in Rio and now I moved back to Curitiba. Rio is a dangerous city overall, thankfully homophobia isn't so bad in those cities, there are regions in brazil that are waaay worse. Curitiba is actually a great place to live and I can't complain.

In my opinion, if you follow the guidelines in place and practice good hygiene, there is no reason why you cannot go out. I wear masks everywhere they’re required and sanitize as it’s necessary, and I’ve been able to enjoy my summer. I went on a small family vacation, and have been able to hangout with small groups of friends. That plus the warm summer has honestly done wonders for my mental health. There’s absolutely no reason to barricade yourself inside your home for 6 months :bedtime:

Same. Getting stuck at home is getting so annoying. That’s why I’m taking classes too because I need something to keep my mind occupied. I’m an ambivert and need my balance, but considering my love for travel, concerts, and nightlife staying at home is overkill :nochillbrit:
