Britney is the living proof that billboard is irrelevant, 70% of her singles havent make it to the top 10, still people in USA (and worldwide) will know these songs better than other songs that stayed on the top 10 on that same year . I mean even teens now recognize Oops I did it Again melody which "was only a top 9 " according to billboard ¬¬. Clear Channel really tried to tank her career but she just couldn't be stopped. If she wasn't blacklisted on the radio she would have had much more consistent chart positions during the Britney and In The Zone eras. She'd definitely have a few more #1's. Link to comment
