The original is really all about the bass and the sparkle of the vocal against it. I honored that concept, but went a little more "all in" on the instrumentation – even though I didn't even use that many.

Holy Motherf!! This is like 80s, techno/edm, and 2010s music all mixed in 1. I need this song in my music library. I can totally see this being blasted in my car, windows down, cruising down the expressway while I do a dramatic look as I'm driving like in a movie Montage lol.

We could call this this the “weekend” mix! I love the vibe but  what I love most about the original is the clarity of her vocals and how she actually sounds RIGHT THERE. Here she sounds distant and dialed in, but great job overall!

I love that about the original too! I had to do a little trickery to mask some artifacts from filtering, but it ended up giving it more of the synthwave vibe anyway.
