Anyways, to me she looked blonde all the time, except for BOMT and FTBOMBH, whether dark or light blonde, it's still blonde.

Britney has her natural hair from 1998-1999. I’m pretty sure she dyed her hair dark blonde during BOMT era and went full blonde 2000-2004. During OHT, she went back to the natural brunette color on the American leg and platinum for the European leg. 

She sticked to platinum until 2006, when she went black during most of the Blackout era.

I think I know what OP means and I recently had the same thought while watching BOMT and Oops. When GP think “Britney” they see a typical blonde (Pamela Anderson style). And when people think “typical blonde” they will likely see Britney, too. It’s like she’s the archetype of a typical blonde. However, when you think of it, her two first major hits (BOMT and Oops) don’t have this “typical blonde” image.
