Without the breakdown in 2007 Circus and Femme Fatale would have been total flops

True. I hope more bing forward they will fix their communication to fans.

We all just assumed Glory did terrible so there would be no singles but they could have commented saying no more singles. Fe is the realist one on that team.

I don't really agree with the OP.

Maybe the success of "a comeback" would have supported and carried one album (Circus), but not two.

FF was just a good cohesive yet kinda generic album that fit right into the GP's taste for music and radio play at that time. Plus it was backed by decent promo and a tour. FF stood on it's own, it wasn't about the comeback anymore.

If there was no breakdown, then Circus and FF maybe would not have happened. But they also would've been promoted differently
