  1. On August 28, 2003, the VMA's were hosted at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. To open the show, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera performed together Madonna's classic hit Like a Virgin, and were later joined by Madonna herself to perform Hollywood. In the middle of the performance, Madonna kissed Britney and then Christina, going down in history as one of the most iconic moments of the VMA's and awards shows in general. Missy Elliott then appeared onstage to perform her song Work It, and then the four together will close the performance with Hollywood again. Britney also had a nomination that night for Best Video from a Film, for Boys (Co-Ed Remix) ft. Pharrell Williams, but lost to Eminem's Lose Yourself.

  5. On April 12, 2003, Britney Spears attended the 16th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. They took place in the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in California. Britney was nominated for Favorite Female Singer, but Ashanti took the award. She also introduced the award for Favorite Male Movie Star along with Will Ferrell. 15 years later, on April 12, 2018, Britney was honored with the Vanguard Award at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards held in Los Angeles. Ricky Martin presented it to her, giving an introductory speech about her influence in the LGBT community.

  8. On November 16, 2003 the 31st Annual American Music Awards took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. This would be the second ceremony of the year, since the 30th AMA's took place in January that year. Britney Spears was one of the performers of the night, opening the show with Me Against the Music. And even though Madonna won the Artist of the Year award, she wasn't there to perform the song with her. Other performers of the night were Pink, Hilary Duff, Ashanti, Andre 3000, among others.
