On July 26, 2018, Britney Spears made a surprising appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, in the middle of her 2018 Piece of Me Tour. She appeared in the recurring segment "Ew" where she graced us with a small glimpse of live vocals, in what is the closest to a I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman performance we've gotten since 2002.

On April 12, 2003, Britney Spears attended the 16th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards. They took place in the Barker Hangar at the Santa Monica Airport in California. Britney was nominated for Favorite Female Singer, but Ashanti took the award. She also introduced the award for Favorite Male Movie Star along with Will Ferrell. 15 years later, on April 12, 2018, Britney was honored with the Vanguard Award at the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards held in Los Angeles. Ricky Martin presented it to her, giving an introductory speech about her influence in the LGBT community.

On February 25, 2018, Britney Spears received the Fragrance of the Year Award at the Hollywood Beauty Awards, for her Fantasy in Bloom perfume.

On July 12 2018, Britney kicked off her latest tour so far, Piece of Me, which was essentially the same show from her Las Vegas residency of the same name, which ended in December 2017, except for a few changes on the setlist as well as a reduced amount of backup dancers and stage props. She performed in various cities of North America and Europe. The show received mixed reviews from critics and fans alike, nonetheless, it became the 6th highest-grossing female tour of 2018, and was the United Kingdom's 2nd best-selling female tour of 2018.
