Britney recalls running into Justin Timberlake backstage at the 2007 VMAs: he had a lot of swagger

Britney Spears reveals in her new book 'The Woman In Me' that she ran into Justin Timberlake shortly before taking the stage at the 2007 VMAs.

Britney writes that it had "been a while" since she last saw Justin and says he had a lot of "swagger," Us Weekly reports. She adds that at that time, Justin was  “at the top of his game in every way."

While Britney was dealing with a lot of personal issues, she remembers Justin looking "so light" during the show and “flirting with girls in the audience” as he performed.

She calls her performance of "Gimme More" as "far" from her best, but was also surprised at the backlash she faced at the time.

The weird thing is that days after the vmas Justin went on Oprah and said he had not spoken to her in years. Maybe he was upset she acted like she didn’t know him. (As per Nikki deloach)

Well they might not have actually spoken backstage, Britney seems to have been feeling very insecure that night. It seems like they saw each other, but Britney didn’t engage because she felt embarrassed
