It's 2000 for me. After those rehearsals leaked, they solidified it. The performance showcased her multitude of talents and she was IN CONTROL

It will forever be vmas 2001 for me. I remember watching that live when it first aired and just being in such awe of Britney. Nothing will ever top that one for me.

I remember watching this over and over (they re-ran the VMAs a lot back then) and was in complete awe of this performance.  My 11 year old gay *** was living and I haven't been the same since.

Her body was slamming.  I remember how controversial this was with the nude body suit.  This is my third favorite VMAs performance
