Patty Jenkins‘ ‘Wonder Woman 3’ Not Moving Forward as DC Movies Hit Turning Point (Exclusive) https://t.co/hWaYtPiicn

— The Hollywood Reporter (@THR) December 8, 2022

Henry Cavill has filmed a cameo as Superman for ‘THE FLASH’.

However, there is a debate whether or not to keep the cameo if its inclusion may promise a future for Henry Cavill’s Superman, something that the studio may not end up doing.

DC is on its last legs. Joker 2 is all they've got now. :riha_rihanna_cackle_laughing_lol_haha_hehe_lmao_hand:

The old DC yes, but not the new DC. As part of the new WB-Discovery merger, DC was required to get a new leader to create a huge connected cinematic universe similar to how Marvel has Kevin Fiege. They recently selected their already popular collaborator James Gunn as the new lead (who did Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy movies, The Conjuring series, DC's Aquaman, and Peacemaker, etc.) and who ironically is bff's with Kevin Fiege.  James Gunn said the next little while will be a "potentially messy transition period" as some old projects that don't align or fit with the new DC cinematic universe will be cancelled or changed. For example, WW3 is not really cancelled, only Patty Jenkin's version current is cancelled. Gal just yesterday postted on Instagram saying she can't wait to show us the next chapter of Wonder Woman. So it's clear Gal is still going to be Wonder Woman and Cavil is already confirmed to stay as Superman, and Momoa as Aquaman.  Black Adam and the upcoming Shazam movie are considered the first 2 movies in the new DC universe 'reboot', but not 100% since those movies were made before Gunn took lead. For example, the Cavill scene in Black Adam was recorded and added much later. So the true first movie in this new DC cinematic universe is yet to be known, but it could be the new Joker 2.  I'm exciting because DC has so many characters and stories to tell, and Marvel unfortunately in the last few years (outside of Wakanda Forever) is getting stale and will need to step their game up.

You're confusing James Gunn with James Wan.
