But why is this news now? Or did they unfollow each other only recently? I thought they had already done it... And I also thought Selena doesn't care about social media, I can't even imagine her using Instagram on her phone, so I guess someone from her team let her know Britney unfollowed her and then followed suit? haha everything is so stupid...

It is saddening if there really are hard feelings between them, especially after expressing mutual admiration towards each other for so many years. It was always lovely to see how much they respected and gained inspiration from each other. I really hope that bridge hasn't been burned completely as they are both such beautiful human beings (at least from an outside perspective).

Selena has always spoken out about body shaming. Maybe the Xtina comment was it for Selena and she unfollowed her. Or maybe even messaged Britney about it. I’m sure Britney at this point, would say F U to anyone trying to tell her what she can or can’t say/post.

Selena obviously didn’t unfollow because of the Christina thing. What is more likely is Selena probably asked if they were okay following the numerous posts about her and maybe Britney didn’t like something Selena did so they ‘fell’ out. This would be such a shame if it is the case!
